In addition, I found it very unstable in Snow Leopard experiencing quite a few hang-ups along the way. The interface tries to pack a lot in meaning it does feel a bit cluttered at times but this is a minor drawback on what otherwise is an excellent application. The great thing about PulpMotion Advanced is that it does a lot of the hard work for you by providing some impressive themes, automatically syncing music. Alternatively, you can publish it as a standalone media player that anyone should be able to watch on their machine.
When you're ready, you need to export it and PulpMotion Advanced provides options to do so via Mail, exporting to QuickTime, publishing to a website using iWeb, uploading it onto an iPhone or even creating a personal screensaver with it. To create your own animations, simply drag and drop elements onto the main interface in the same way as you would in iMovie. PulpMotion Advanced does a lot of the hard work for you by including a number of visual themes with which to work with.Īs with the original version, your own media is organized down the right side of the interface and the timeline runs along the bottom very much like a video editor.
PulpMotion Advanced gives access to media from many more applications such as Adobe Lightroom and Apple Aperture. That should read " OS X 10.7 or later." The last stable release for 10.6 was from 05-18-13.The advanced version allows you to time every element precisely, setting the rhythm for your presentation exactly as you like it. The system requirements here show " OS X 10.6 or later" but that's been out of date for some time now. Absolutely idiotic! This is a well known issue, unresolved for years, that the developer seems to ignore. until it finally reaches the last item in the folder. So you have to cancel that next item and the process continues again, and again, and. One especially annoying thing is that after having selected a folder to download, if I later change my mind and attempt to cancel, it will just skip to the next file in the folder and start downloading it. SoulSeekQT has an absolutely awful user interface, isn't particularly intuitive, and in my experience is rather unstable, particularly when doing searches, and even moreso when closing multiple search tabs. Very sad given how incredibly ugly it is. iSoul is stable and works okay for those who only require the most basic functionality (and that may include many people), but for those who require the features and functionality SSK-QT may be the only way to go (sigh). iSoul showed great promise, but it was abandoned years ago and never made it out of pre-final-release.
It's tragic that this is (probably) the only workable SoulSeek client option for OSX.
